About The Position

THE ROLE: ENTEGRIS is seeking a Engineering Technician I located in Colorado Springs/Rockrimmon, CO. The Engineering Technician works directly with engineering to maintain engineering related documents and systems, as well as troubleshoot, develop, experiment, and make continuous improvements. They will work directly with the engineering team to develop a plan or make suggestions for an existing plan. They will work directly with production to communicate with the intent of the plan and ensure it gets executed and tracked correctly. The role also will have responsibility to the production floor to assist in training and disseminate knowledge. They will also look for ways to improve the production process and flow, whether through tool layout, SOP updates, minor equipment maintenance and the like. 0- 3 years of manufacturing experience

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional college or technical coursework preferred
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with operators, engineers of different teams and managers.
  • Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, communicate, and write.
  • Ideal candidate will have keen eye for quality, is dependable, and will work collaboratively within a team, and possess a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding and proficient use of Excel, Word, Adobe, MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) and other software necessary to support engineering
  • Problem Solving – Recognizes problems and understands root cause analysis techniques/concepts.
  • Attends safety training sessions as required.
  • Use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and you must be able to move throughout the department/facility.
  • Able to lift 30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • SolidWorks and 3D Printing Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create and Update Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Aids engineering in manufacturing continuous improvement and new product introduction including support of new product design, process development, equipment and process validations.
  • Tracks, monitors, and communicates status of development work orders in progress
  • Able to follow specifications, work orders, and SOP’s provided by Manufacturing Engineer, Development Engineer and Production Supervisor. Will also provide feedback, updates and assist in redlining same documents.
  • Safely follow standard operating procedures including but not limited to material handling, record keeping, process spec and ensuring all team members are adhering to proper PPE. Notifies Manufacturing Engineer and / or Production Supervisor of any discrepancies to ensure quality standards and safety of operations are always maintained.
  • Able to work in team environment and cross functional teams to troubleshoot issues, identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Must be able to support V & Q and Gage R & R projects supporting the engineering groups

  • Understand and promote Lean Manufacturing Concepts.
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Aid in development and implementation of manufacturing aids using SolidWorks and 3D Printing
