The Aircraft Mechanical Assembly and Installation Technician is responsible for the flat pattern lay out, fabrication, and installation of mechanical piece parts and assemblies on aircraft in accordance with drawings, technical manuals, or other written instructions to complete assigned work. Essential Functions: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Performing sheet metal fabrication modifications, mechanical/electrical modifications/installs, aircraft inspections or repairs, sometimes in confined spaces. Willingness and ability to learn Electrical Assembly and Installation in compliance of written policies, procedures and other instructions. A full understanding of technical drawings and aircraft maintenance manuals. Familiarity with general industry standards on quality expectations. Knowledge of general aircraft sheet metal fabrication and assembly principles and techniques. Ability to lead projects with minimal oversight. Willingness and ability to teach team members. Ability to be certified to operate vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Willingness and ability to work overtime, any shift, and weekends as required to meet business objectives. Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% as required.
