About The Position

L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our team. This team member will perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior experience
2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0-2 years prior experience

Support individual contributor, able to work under limited supervision with initiative autonomously
Ability to read drawings and specifications
Electronics background with proficiency in electrical troubleshooting
Data gathering and basic data analysis capabilities

Responsibilities

Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment
Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems
Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions--may work with complex machines or computer systems
Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format
Perform certifications and provide clarifications to Pass/Fail criteria
Review and address station issues
Identify and escalate potential part non conformances
Disposition/Data Correct systems that fail within production
Identify failure trends and process improvements
Preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on fixturing and equipment
Participate in a variety of meetings, committees and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve issues and maintains specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policies
