Supports resort operations by performing maintenance duties such as projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-3 years in Engineering/Maintenance operations in a resort or commercial environment.
  • Must have and maintain valid Driver’s license.
  • CPO license as required by Resort
  • High school diploma or general education degree GED.
  • The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Follow instructions without close supervision.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering projects, guest calls, preventative maintenance, and repairs on plumbing, electrical components, HVAC systems, and household appliances.
  • Maintain interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, flooring, and pools/spas.
  • Operate and maintain resort equipment, tools, and software systems effectively and safely.
  • Participate in procurement and inventory processes to ensure availability of necessary materials.
  • Communicate professionally with guests and team members, addressing needs and resolving issues promptly.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines, identify potential hazards, and comply with all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by resort operations leadership.
  • Conduct regular inspections of resort facilities to identify and report maintenance needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences during maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment servicing.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry standards and new technologies.
  • Respond to emergency situations and perform necessary repairs or interventions as needed.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new engineering team members.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures.
