Requirements

  • Completion of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3+ years related experience or training in manufacturing; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization
  • Ability to read Engineering drawings and other technical documentation
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Able to be a team player
  • Strong working knowledge of computers, equipment, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineering, and production departments
  • Support the development, routing, and implementation of manufacturing instructions to assemble products
  • Develop routing and implementation of manufacturing instructions to assemble products
  • Reviews and approves Engineering Change Orders for BOM structures and assigns labor hours to MES
  • Supporting assembly lines to maintain production output
  • Administrate Manufacturing Engineering support system to manage work instructions, standard work, and procedure requests and implement
  • Administrate and maintain internal deviation requests.
  • Reviews processes and procedures for existing and new builds including assembly processes, prototyping, repairing machinery, and trouble-shooting fixtures/tooling to identify and implements improvements
  • Reviews documentation such as manufacturing procedures, BOMS, drawings, and routings
  • Assists with pFMEA development to identify failures and makes recommendations to Manufacturing Engineers and Design Engineers
  • Guide preventive maintenance and general repair on equipment or machinery
  • Provides specialized training to production employees and technical direction to the production trainer
  • Assists in prototype development by debugging, modifications, assembly, and testing
  • Report out metrics and KPIs
  • Participate in Lean initiatives and engage with Six Sigma tools for process improvements
  • Interact with internal departments such as Quality, Maintenance, Production, Safety, etc.
