About The Position

As a Engineering Technician, you will be an essential part of keeping our resort running smoothly and ensuring our guests enjoy a safe, comfortable, and memorable stay. From tackling projects to solving day-to-day challenges, your skills will help create the exceptional experiences that set VI Resorts by Westgate apart. As a Engineering Tech I, you will:

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 0–1 year of hands-on experience in trades or maintenance, preferably in a resort or commercial environment.
  • Valid driver’s license (must be maintained in good standing).
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work with energy, focus, and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent communication skills to build positive interactions with both guests and team members.
  • Adaptable and versatile, with the ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Able to communicate effectively with supervisors and resort leadership.
  • Physically capable of regularly lifting, moving, pushing, or pulling 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned maintenance work orders, preventive maintenance, and special projects.
  • Perform general repairs, including painting, caulking, and basic facility upkeep.
  • Troubleshoot and repair common plumbing, lighting, and electrical issues.
  • Install and troubleshoot TVs, appliances, and in-room electronics.
  • Use maintenance systems to track and complete work efficiently.
  • Communicate professionally with guests and team members to resolve issues.
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly use tools and equipment.
  • Identify and address safety hazards on property.
  • Provide prompt, courteous service to support a positive guest experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support resort operations.
