About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Work directly with laser cutting systems or plasma cutting systems and maintain QC system necessary for operations. You will be responsible for monitoring and changing cutting conditions, part nesting, material loading, schedules, and ensuring that all products meet the quality standards through first and last piece inspections. Requirements

Prior manufacturing experience required with an emphasis on Laser / Plasma cutting or CNC Machining or Metal Fabrication.
Ability to read and understand CAD drawings.
Possess and demonstrate positive mentoring and leadership qualities.
Possess and practice good oral and written communication skills.
Treat all co-workers with dignity and respect.
Possess and utilize basic math skills and exercise superior organizational skills
Ability to work independently.

CAD drawing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laser cutting systems or plasma cutting systems to meet production demands.
Monitor and adjust cutting conditions, part nesting, material loading, and schedules to ensure optimal performance of the machines
Maintain QC and safety equipment as required
Conduct first and last piece inspections to ensure product quality standards are met
Perform regular preventive maintenance and cleaning of the equipment
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues
Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records
Adhere to all safety and quality regulations and procedures
Adhere to production schedules & deadlines
Submit requisitions for consumable purchases as required
Review manufacturing process, including tools and fixtures; recommend changes to improve cost, quality, and/or productivity
Design fixtures as required to implement recommendations and improve efficiency of shop operation
Work directly with shop foreman and personnel in defining problems, sources of scrap and rework and develop solutions
Provide technical assistance for departmental and manufacturing personnel
Performs other duties as assigned.
