The Engineering Systems & Compliance Administrator is a key role responsible for managing the engineering change management workflows (ECN Process), digital systems administration, certification tracking, and vendor coordination. This position ensures operational continuity within the Electrical Products business unit encompassing compliance processes, enterprise tools, data accuracy, and process improvements.A Day In The LifeMaintain and administer the ECN process for Electrical Products:•Review ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) for completeness and accuracy prior to release, including DIRs (document information records) and basic data.•Support ECN submitters and departments with ECN troubleshooting and guidance. Manage ECN workflow process for new personnel and locations as needed.•Coordinate ECN signoffs and drafting processes with internal stakeholders.•Generate Power BI reports to track ECN status.•Completion of ECNs by creating and revising installation instructions, bills of material, and other engineering database records, such as DIRs and ECN notice text for the SAP system.•Review ECN documents for required changes to verify completed assignments. Match requirements defined in reference and source documents. Check CAD vault properties as defined by ECN document.•Scan new or re-issued ECN documentation and combine these images into one file on the company’s shared drive for historical reference and preservation. Support Engineering Documentation Processes: •Manage Autodesk Vault workflows: release files, rename, reset states, and support upgrade testing.•Support software inventory and categorization initiatives.•Represent Electrical Products in the integration and use of PLM (Product Lifecyle Management Software) and be the key support/coordination expert post implementation.•Participate in weekly/monthly Tools Council meetings which govern use of Engineering software tools.•Assist users with computer issues, Fiori access, drive mapping, software issues, and IT ticket creation.•Maintain and locate historical files (from legacy Oce system) and inspection reports as needed.•Input new and revised electronic images into the engineering scanner system and add or revise all database attributes of these engineering documents, such as part #, rev #, sheet #, etc.•Scan documents for historical records and maintain data integrity of various indexes, primarily those pertaining to engineering specifications, such as installation instructions and engineering records stored at the Iron Mountain facility.•Download and distribute UL, CSA, NSF, TUV, Intertek, VDE standards, bulletins, and technical guidance.•Update UL/CSA databases and their associated printed documents.•Maintain and locate legacy records that are archived on microfilm for liability requests.•Utilize Autodesk Inventor for drawing and 3D model revisions. Coordinate Engineering purchases/expenses and vendors:•Manage blanket POs for certifications across Hubbell Electrical Products.•Track UL (Underwriters Laboratories) POs for NPD projects and ensure traceability.•Create and update vendors in SAP; coordinate legal and IT reviews via Malbek.•Manage vendor data changes (address, payment terms, etc.).•Generate POs for certifications and NPD-related activities.•Process invoices and coordinate toner orders for printers/plotters.•Maintain Model Shop database for tooling and 3D printing back charges.•Assist in departmental administrative tasks, such as ordering supplies with a company P-Card.•Other duties assigned and based on departmental and business needs.What will help you thrive in this role?
