About The Position

Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone. Ameristar has one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, amazing dining venues, a newly renovated luxury hotel, and more. Ameristar also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center. Ameristar Casino and Hotel is seeking an Engineering/Facilities Supervisor to ensure all types of facility maintenance and construction are performed in a safe, timely and cost efficient manner for the property.

Requirements

  • Must be highly skilled in the use of all hand and power tools related to facility based maintenance.
  • Must have highly skilled working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry fields.
  • Must be highly skilled with proper application and use of common and job related special tools and test equipment.
  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • High school diploma/GED with a minimum of five (5) years maintenance experience with two (2) years of supervisory experience in facility based maintenance.
  • Must have valid Missouri driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Degree related to facility engineering, local municipal license and/or multiple certificates in various crafts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • To provide primary and specialized support for all mechanical equipment, related systems (i.e. HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, restaurant, plumbing, structural, etc.), and all general building/facilities both interior and exterior (i.e. carpentry, drywall, painting, etc.) through delegation of responsibilities to the crew and personal hands-on performance.
  • Routine and miscellaneous inspections regarding new installations, repairs, preventative maintenance, procedures, and tests of air handlers, exhaust fans, pumps, domestic water systems, fire protections systems, restaurant equipment, waste systems, electrical systems, chillers, heat exchangers, separators, and associated equipment to provide service and support in accordance with applicable codes and ACSC policies and procedures.
  • Identify and relay opportunities for improvement required to support and contribute to department and property business, guest and team member satisfaction.
  • Monitor all scheduled and unscheduled overtime during supervised shift.
  • Monitor parts and supplies inventory to maintain adequate supply of necessary parts while avoiding excess or obsolete inventory items.
