Join our team as an Engineering Support Specialist and play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our food manufacturing equipment and systems. From troubleshooting and fabrication to inventory management and vendor coordination, your hands-on skills will support engineering, maintenance, and production teams every step of the way. What will you be doing? As the Engineering Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our engineering and maintenance teams. Your role involves maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, assisting with projects, working with vendors, and ensuring critical documentation and inventory systems are current and accurate. The position will be based in Richmond, CA. The salary is $31.48 hourly. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; some college or technical coursework preferred
  • 1-2 years of vendor and customer relations experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate across all levels
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and office tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and a strong team player
  • Ability to work confidentially and maintain a high degree of integrity

Responsibilities

  • Work with vendors to obtain best pricing on parts and services
  • Prioritize and organize workload to meet project deadlines and daily needs
  • Compile and post accurate reports for management
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial food-manufacturing equipment
  • Support engineering team by diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
  • Fabricate equipment components and perform preventative maintenance
  • Replace broken or worn machine parts and conduct routine inspections
  • Work from schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints
  • Understand and work with pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, welding, and boilers
  • Maintain part room cleanliness, inventory structure, and recordkeeping
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering, and production teams
  • All other duties as assigned.
