About The Position

This Maintenance Service / Support Manager role within the Vans Business Unit is a hands-on opportunity to lead, support, and develop the central maintenance function while driving performance, cost control, and fleet compliance. Requirements

• Strong experience from within the motor or fleet industry
• Confident leading people while making commercially sound decisions.
• Background in vehicle engineering or fleet maintenance.
• Experience managing budgets and controlling maintenance costs.
• Proven ability to lead, support and develop team performance.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience managing suppliers.
• Confident communicator able to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support the Engineering Manager in running the central maintenance operation.
• Act as the escalation point for complex maintenance and supplier issues.
• Drive cost control through supplier negotiation and repair authorisation.
• Ensure all compliance, MOT and fleet events are planned and completed on time.
• Provide technical guidance and support across the wider maintenance network.
