About The Position

In this role, you will maintain a safe work environment and manage the workload of the assigned engineering team. You will lead the Industrial Engineers (IEs) through new model labor optimization efforts to achieve labor targets, which includes benchmarking (both internal and external), target setting, tracking process changes, and replicating successful strategies across programs and plants. Your responsibilities will also include planning, engineering, and implementing product and non-product related plant actions for aluminum machining as well as both ICE assembly and Battery assembly departments. You will identify cost-saving opportunities, confirm that standards are in place, and support the production teams through effective communication and recognition. Additionally, you will develop highly competent and motivated people, create a conducive work environment for the teams to complete their assigned tasks, and ensure the completion of administrative responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years engineering experience
  • Aluminum Machining, Gear Manufacturing and Assembly experience
  • Powertrain engineering experience
  • Demonstrated leadership in One FORD behaviors
  • Outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
