Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an Engineering and/or Science discipline from an accredited institution AND five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

  • Ability to influence higher levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing systemic continuous improvement using science-based methodologies.
  • Experience in validation, nonconformance, root cause investigation, CAPA, Good Documentation Practices, supplier quality management, risk management, change control, and other elements of Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Experience in New Product Introduction and manufacturing scaleup.

Responsibilities

  • Determining priorities and timetables, assigning resources/tasks, and providing performance feedback.
  • Making recommendations that impact how financial resources are generated or spent.
  • Coaching and developing engineering team for improved project management to deliver higher level of results and reduce project cycle time.
  • Being accountable for the activities and results of their subordinates.
  • Supervising development and implementation of functional and cross-functional projects, plans, and programs in support of business and strategic plans.
  • Proactively communicating project direction and status to appropriate personnel.
  • Developing solutions for multi-faceted, interrelated, and complicated problems, which require strong analytical skills and significant interpretation of data.
  • Most complex problem solving may require conceptual thinking to assess options, making decisions by applying extensive experience and knowledge of related and non-related precedents, practices and policies to solve significantly different problems.
  • Leading combination of manufacturing, systems, and automation engineers to deliver safety, quality, service, productivity, and growth (New Product Introduction) goals.
  • Developing, creating, and supporting a high performing engineering team in a Medical Device and Drug manufacturing facility.
  • Collaborating with cross functional partners such as production, planning, regulatory, quality assurance and plant engineering, to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Performing complex analysis as well as ensuring compliance with established manufacturing principles.
  • Handling non-routine and difficult inquiries such as investigating alternative manufacturing methods.
