About The Position

Manage tier 1 tooling supplier compliance to GVOSS for Co-lead tooling buyoffs with M&E team and Tier 1s Manage supplier relations and expectations once awarded project with Ford Facilitate any necessary improvements between Ford and Teir 1 supplier partnerships Drive standardization for Final Assembly Tooling Ensure the "Lessons Learned" loop from implementation back to core is being realized with the tooling supplier base Team Leadership & Development: Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to a team of manufacturing engineers, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning. Established and active employee resource groups

Requirements

  • B.S. Engineering- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience or similar related technical field; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
  • 2+ years' experience in Mfg leadership capacity
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in leveraging Virtual Manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Team Center, Vis mockup) for advanced analysis and process optimization.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel to supplier base within greater Detroit area
  • Vehicle development processes
  • Proficiency with GVOSS
  • Leading a diverse team
  • Automotive manufacturing and launch processes
  • Leading capital projects
