About The Position

The Engineering Subject Matter Specialist will provide senior technical direction across NETOPS, focusing on the architecture, modernization, and secure sustainment of enterprise LAN/WLAN. This role requires a deep understanding of specialized applications and operational environments, along with high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on complex problems. Participation in all phases of software development is essential, with an emphasis on planning, analysis, modeling, simulation, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation. Occasional travel may be required for design reviews, lab/field validations, and complex troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in network engineering/architecture, preferably in a federal workspace.
  • Certifications in Computing Environments: CCNA, CCNA-E, CCNP or CCNP-E.
  • Experience with Palo Alto/Cisco/Fortinet firewalls, ISE/Aruba ClearPass, and automation tools (Ansible/Python).
  • Secret clearance.
  • IA Level: IAM-II.
