About The Position

An Old Edwards Engineer Specialist troubleshoots and repairs equipment, facilities, and systems. Job duties include performing preventative maintenance, making regular inspections, coordinating the maintenance staff, diagnosing potential problems, and helping to maintain regular everyday trash duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and painting required
• Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team
• Must be organized, able to multitask and customer service oriented
• Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
• The employee is regularly required to stand, walk the property, climb stairs, kneel, squat and crawl for periods of time.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Duties are performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, often taking place in the elements of all four seasons

Nice To Haves

• Two years of relevant technical school preferred
• Previous experience in a Maintenance or Engineering position preferred

Responsibilities

• Respond to radio calls from various departments in a timely manner.
• Learn the company work order system and respond to those requests.
• Maintain pools and hot tubs across property, ensuring cleanliness and chemical balances.
• Remove trash and recycling from hotel venues and deposit in the proper location for collection.
• Learn and maintain complete knowledge of the fire alarm system.
• Complete routine Repair and Maintenance projects across properties.
• Due to the nature of this position, confidentiality is required at all times.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Director of Engineering.
