About The Position

Our group is responsible for key services including capacity planning, capital budget planning and design of factory layouts, factory staffing and factory modelling. Design, develop, and apply engineering, mathematical models, simulation and optimization models to drive solutions to complex manufacturing problems. Supports and improves the performance of the Manufacturing operations. Plays a critical role in the execution of Seagate’s Product and Technology Roadmap.

Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience
  • Proficient with Excel, preferably advanced skills
  • Able to communicate factory actions to engineering teams
  • Successful experience in process improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Support Industrial Engineering capacity model planning, fab layout and operational performance by data tracking
  • Conduct time studies in the factory on tooling and wafer movement
  • Conduct time studies using data automation for tooling to implement into the capacity model for capacity planning
  • Update workflow automations for enhancements requested and tool changes
  • Highlights opportunities around process improvements and implements improvements in a creative and effective way
