About The Position

Apply methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to streamline operations and eliminate waste. Lead new model labor optimization efforts to achieve labor targets, through benchmarking (internal and external), target setting, tracking process change, and replicate across programs Support the cycle line layout planning process & virtual build events with future model operator allocations and time studies, and work with plants to support physical build events & program launches Minimize and/or offset labor impacts through labor blitzes, plant tasks/projects, and identifying design/process opportunities Assist with operator allocations, cycle line layouts, plant rebalances, line speed changes, time studies, throughput issues, and launch support Accurately maintain and deliver required IE documentation (Labor Glidepath, Program 1 Pager, Labor by Department, Plant Line speed, APT Assessment, etc.) Develop & document standardization of methods & procedures for the organization Drive & implement labor efficiency through deployment of global IE process, tools and standards Work with plants to complete & evaluate time studies using MODAPTS as the measurement tool for work standards Collaborate and work closely with manufacturing engineering, material handling, ergonomics, Finance, and/or plant personnel Scope of responsibility will be in Vehicle and Powertrain Plants in North America Established and active employee resource groups

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years' experience with Microsoft Office products

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred
  • Electrical background (electrician or technician) preferred
  • Familiarity with VFD, Servo, Profinet
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
  • Lean Tools - 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, Value Stream Mapping experience
  • TQM and Kaizen methods experience
  • MEA, PPAP, and DOE experience
  • Visual Factory Management experience

Responsibilities
