Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of Engineering experience, OR Bachelor's degree in a Scientific discipline and three (3) years of Engineering experience.
  • Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of Geomechanical or Geotechnical experience.
  • Willingness/ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Review, investigate and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects.
  • Serve as Project Manager or Technical Advisor, on small-to-medium site construction, expansion or modification projects.
  • Evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.
  • Collaborate in site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated Engineering areas.
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of Appropriation Request (AR) for capital funding.
  • Perform other duties as required.
