About The Position

The Crown Certified Trainer Project Intern is responsible for assisting the Production team with coordinating, facilitating, developing and implementation of all things related to the Crown Certified Training program. This position will assist in the creation of uniform training methods to all employees throughout production operations to ensure all training, and work instructions are completed effectively and correctly. This internship provides hands-on exposure to industrial manufacturing and engineering concepts, process improvement initiatives, equipment evaluation, data collection, and technical documentation. This role is intended to support learning and professional development while providing meaningful contributions to active manufacturing and engineering projects.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in engineering concepts and manufacturing processes
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze data and follow standardized procedures
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills
  • Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or related field)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Understanding of engineering principles preferred
  • Previous manufacturing or industrial experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for understanding and following policies, procedures, and written/verbal instructions.
  • Assist Manufacturing team members with assigned project tasks, data collection, and analysis as it relates to the Crown Certified Training program.
  • Support process improvement initiatives, including time studies, workflow evaluations, and material flow assessments.
  • Assist with documenting current-state and future-state processes, layouts, and work instructions.
  • Compile and organize project documentation, reports, and presentations as they relate to the updating of current and future work instructions.
  • Participate in plant floor observations to understand manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
  • Assist in evaluating performance, efficiency, and safety considerations as they relate to training documentation for employees.
  • Assist in the development of structured training documents as they relate to the Crown Certified Training program.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and Safety.
  • Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.
