MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As an Engineering Sr Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customer. Manages the staff and activities of an engineering project, department, or program. Responsible for the employment, training, motivation, and evaluation of assigned staff. May develop and recommend engineering policies and procedures consistent with company objective. Manages engineering professionals directly or through subordinate managers/supervisors using effective people management, administrative and organizational skills Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, schedules and task order and administrative reporting May manage the development of policies and procedures and ensures their conformance with the departments goals and company/customer objectives. Manages the development and administration of schedule and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities. Experience with business and project strategies to support proposal/Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) development, and work transition efforts Manages and prioritizes engineering needs and analyzes project costs and feasibility. Keeps well-informed of new technologies and industry best practices and trends and then plans and advises for implementation. Familiar with American National Standards for Calibration including ANSI/NCSL Z540, ANS/ISO/IEC 17025 Maintains knowledge of relevant Metrology/PMEL techniques and Calibration laboratory practices Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite and familiarity of Fluke MET/Team, Fluke MET/CAL, and Keysight TME Oversees ordering process to meet objectives effectively and economically. Manages vendor relationships and billing reconciliations. Provides guidance and solutions to ensure the engineering needs align with the strategic departmental initiatives. The likely salary range for this position is $133,875 - $181,125. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
