About The Position

Ameren Illinois is looking for an Engineering Representative Step 1 who will be responsible for engineering and designing facilities needed to provide adequate electric and natural gas service to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The role involves initiating and completing jobs using various Company computer and mainframe systems. The Engineering Representative will assist in the evaluation of new business projects to determine expected revenue, project costs, and customer contributions. They will coordinate construction and engineering services as the primary customer contact, effectively meeting customer requests. Maintaining a positive and mutually beneficial relationship with the Company's customers, architects, consulting engineers, trade allies, and community/civic leaders is essential, with a primary focus on customer satisfaction. The candidate must successfully complete the Engineering Representative Training Program, which includes passing tests after each of the six classroom modules. Additionally, the role involves fielding incoming and outgoing customer calls and capturing details of customer requested projects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Successful completion of High School algebra or above with a grade of 'C' or above required.
• Satisfactory completion of courses in D.C. and A.C. electricity with a grade of 'C' or better from an accredited institution required.
• 1 year experience working with electricity may be considered in lieu of D.C. & A.C. course.

Responsibilities

• Hourly Pay: Grade Step BB 015 Step 1 of 2 - 31.11 USD
• Grade Step BB 015 Step 2 of 2 (Top Step) - 32.11 USD
• Eligible for annual incentive payments based on company performance.
