About The Position

We're looking for an Engineering Recruiter with a strong technical foundation to serve as the primary technical filter between recruiters and hiring managers. This role is ideal for an engineer turned recruiter who can confidently assess candidates' technical skill sets across a variety of engineering disciplines. This position focuses primarily on conducting technical interviews after candidates have been initially screened by the recruiting team. While not responsible for full lifecycle recruiting, this role may occasionally assist with end-to-end recruitment processes when hiring volume calls for it.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline required).
  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, ideally within an engineering or technical field.
  • Prior experience working as an engineer (design, project, or field experience preferred).
  • High level of familiarity with engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
  • Deep understanding of MEP roles, engineering workflows, and technical skill requirements.
  • Proven ability to assess and engage technical talent effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical evaluations clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter preferred).
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers, designers, project managers, and other technical specialists.
  • Conduct in-depth technical interviews for candidates across a variety of engineering disciplines (MEP and beyond).
  • Serve as the key liaison between recruiters and hiring managers to ensure technical qualifications align with project and departmental needs.
  • Develop and refine technical interview questions, assessments, and evaluation rubrics.
  • Deliver clear, actionable feedback to the recruiting team and hiring managers following technical interviews.
  • Collaborate with hiring teams to continuously improve technical screening and evaluation methods.
  • Support full lifecycle recruiting during periods of increased demand or specialized hiring needs.
  • Stay current on engineering trends, tools, and best practices relevant to the firm's work

Benefits

  • All full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefit package that includes, but is not limited to, medical, dental, and vision insurance with 100% of medical premiums covered by the employer, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k), vacation time, paid holidays off, and a yearly performance-based bonus.
