What You'll Do Serve as a technical lead for Coilmaster’s engineering software platforms used across multiple manufacturing locations Lead end-to-end development of equipment selection and simulation tools, from feature definition and design through deployment and support Maintain and modernize legacy VBA and Visual Basic applications through disciplined issue triage, high-quality fixes, and planned enhancements Lead new development in C# and .NET with a focus on new features, reliability, and long-term maintainability Develop and support full-stack solutions, including front-end UI/UX, back-end services and APIs, engineering calculation engines, and data integrations Translate HVAC and thermal engineering models into accurate, testable software that solves real-world customer engineering problems Apply modern software engineering practices such as Git-based workflows, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD Collaborate with cross-functional teams across three U.S. manufacturing sites and with other developers across Marmon Document design decisions and architecture while upholding secure coding, version control, and security standards What You'll Need Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field Master’s or PhD preferred 7+ years of combined experience delivering production software and engineering applications Strong proficiency in C# and .NET using Visual Studio Experience maintaining and modernizing legacy engineering software, including VBA, Visual Basic, or VB.NET Working knowledge of SQL Server and relational database design Experience with Windows Forms, web applications, APIs, and data integrations Familiarity with Agile development practices and CI/CD workflows Strong debugging skills, root-cause analysis capability, and attention to reliability Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong mechanical engineering knowledge related to HVAC and heat exchangers What You'll Gain Competitive pay aligned with experience and market benchmarks Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and prescription coverage 401(k) retirement plan with company matching A highly visible role influencing Coilmaster’s engineering software roadmap Ownership of mission-critical systems that directly support customers and manufacturing operations The opportunity to work at the intersection of mechanical engineering and modern software development Collaboration with experienced engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams across Coilmaster and Marmon A primarily office-based role with limited travel to three U.S. manufacturing sites Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
