The Engineering Manager leads the engineering team in the design, development, and improvement of aircraft ground support equipment to meet customer and company requirements. This role provides technical leadership, project oversight, and resource management while fostering collaboration across departments. The Engineering Manager ensures engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Provide technical leadership and oversight to the engineering department, evaluating work quality and supporting staff development. Serve as lead engineer and subject matter expert in product design, development, and manufacturing. Review, approve, and maintain product designs, drawings, and design database. Lead weekly department meetings to review schedules, priorities, and improvement initiatives. Reverse engineer products and validate designs using SolidWorks Simulation. Develop and implement engineering policies, standards, and procedures. Act as technical liaison with internal departments, customers, and stakeholders. Mentor and train engineers, designers, interns, and technical staff. Support hands-on prototype builds and first-piece samples as required. Provide accurate project estimates, schedules, and resource plans to management. Ensure proper allocation of resources to meet customer and organizational requirements. Support ERP/MRP troubleshooting and generate CAM programs using CAMWorks. Oversee project execution by breaking down deliverables, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
