About The Position

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will develop and implement overall plant technical strategies focused on engineering projects and maintenance to support operational excellence. You will lead vertical start‑up processes that ensure low‑loss production systems, guide solutions to technical challenges, strengthen production activities through targeted improvements, and manage the plant technical organization. A Taste of Your Responsibilities: Support the Plant in establishing safety of all team members as the primary objective. Lead the cross‑functional development and implementation of the capital plan, partnering with Safety, Sanitation, Quality, Environmental, Operations, Maintenance, Finance and Operations teams. Collaborate with the Plant in defining roles, responsibilities and accountabilities aligned with CPS principles. Foster a team‑based problem-solving culture across functional groups. Support the Plant in increasing business literacy by educating teams on key business issues and concepts. Partner with the Platform Engineering Director to resource projects including Engineering Project Manager, Subject Matter Expert and Start‑up Manager roles. Support the Plant in delivering financial goals. Support the Plant in conducting internal systems audits. Provide direction to and lead the EM Pillar Team through development of long‑ and short‑term plans for the Plant. Provide project and technical support to the Plant and broader division. Participate on and lead project teams that improve safety, quality, utilization, labor relations, sanitation, costs and customer service. Use application‑based computer programs to support project and plant needs. Lead the Plant in preparing and conducting team meetings that ensure strong communication and team development. Provide work direction and coordinate mechanical and clerical activities within the maintenance department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or eight years of equivalent project leadership experience with increasing responsibility in the food, pharmaceutical or consumer packaged goods industry.
  • Five years experience in food manufacturing; three years training experience preferred.
  • Five years people management experience.
  • Experience leading multiple projects up to one million dollars.
  • Experience in mechanical or controls engineering.
  • Leadership skills to work as a peer and advisor to cross‑functional departments.
  • Willingness to rotate shifts and work weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years experience in food manufacturing; three years training experience preferred.
  • Preference will be given to local candidates.
