TuneCore Engineering develops web applications in the music space supporting our talented customers and internal operations. We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to help build the world’s best digital operations platform for restaurants. Our current technology stack consists mostly of Ruby on Rails and React, but we are always looking to use the tools that are most appropriate for the task at hand.

  • Lead and mentor a team of 4+ engineers, fostering a collaborative and high performance culture.
  • Oversee the successful development and delivery of key projects, balancing feature development with technical debt.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to define and execute a strategic roadmap.
  • Support career development for your team members, providing mentorship and performance feedback.
  • Drive engineering best practices, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to shape team strategy and drive continuous improvement.
  • Uphold TuneCore’s mission, vision, and values, fostering an inclusive and innovative engineering culture.
  • 5+ years of hands on experience developing production-grade software.
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership experience, with a strong track record of mentoring engineers and leading teams.
  • Proficiency in project management—able to make the right trade-offs to deliver projects on time with high quality.
  • Experience working with web-based frameworks like Ruby, Node, or Python, along with an ORM.
  • Strong expertise in React and front-end development best practices.
  • Experience guiding individual contributors of different seniority levels across frontend and backend development.
