FBS is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and support our product development teams. In this role, you’ll be responsible for helping engineers do their best work – removing blockers, coaching for growth, and making sure the teams are healthy, staffed, and delivering quality software with confidence. You’ll partner with our Product Management, Design and QA staff to ensure the teams deliver work that creates reliable value for our customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in software engineering
  • 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager overseeing web-based software development
  • Ability to balance long-term, strategic goals with short-term goals
  • Excellent communication skills and a history of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance, professional development, and retention of software developers
  • Own team-level outcomes including delivery quality, system stability, and production performance
  • Remove day-to-day blockers, whether technical, process-related, or interpersonal
  • Partner with Product Managers on alignment and with QA to maintain quality standards
  • Monitor workload distribution, staffing needs, and overall delivery health
  • Foster strong team morale and a collaborative, supportive engineering culture
