About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to lead multiple engineering initiatives across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, fully remote SaaS environment. The Engineering Manager will oversee project execution, ensure alignment with business strategy, and foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will mentor engineers, define processes, manage budgets, and collaborate with product and leadership teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. This position balances hands-on technical work with people leadership, providing guidance and support while removing obstacles for teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex challenges, and has a track record of delivering scalable software systems. You will play a pivotal role in driving team performance, process improvements, and impactful technology delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building and supporting production systems.
  • 4+ years leading engineering teams in an agile/scrum environment (2–3 years may be considered with strong technical depth and impact).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex software projects in a SaaS environment.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices, agile methodologies, and SDLC processes.
  • Experience with project planning, budgeting, and execution in a SaaS context.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance technical leadership with people management and business priorities.
  • Comfortable making trade-offs under deadlines while maintaining quality and team morale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple engineering projects across teams, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Partner with product management and stakeholders to define project scope, priorities, timelines, and success metrics.
  • Establish and continuously improve engineering processes, workflows, and best practices within an agile/scrum environment.
  • Build, manage, and track project budgets, resource allocation, and delivery milestones.
  • Support and mentor engineers to foster professional growth, technical excellence, and team engagement.
  • Participate in hands-on development, including coding, code reviews, debugging, and architectural design as needed to unblock teams.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks early, proactively driving solutions.
  • Ensure software quality, security, performance, and scalability standards are met.
  • Facilitate effective communication across distributed, fully remote teams and promote a continuous improvement culture.
