About The Position

Sentry Equipment’s engineering department is seeking an experienced, dynamic leader for their mechanical designers. As a Mechanical Engineer Manager, you will join a group of employee-owners striving to improve our partner’s processes through customized solutions within impactful industries such as manufacturing, power generation, and food and beverage. Your role will support employee development through coaching, guidance, and encouraging employee strengths and skill exploration. Written and interpersonal communication will be a must as you will need to work across multiple departments as well as within your team to maintain standards and facilitate peak departmental performance. Through healthy communication and collaboration, the mechanical engineering manager will work to maintain and improve processes to remove roadblocks for their team and other employee owners. Your innovative and process improvement skills will help bring our engineering department to the next level.

Requirements

5+ years product engineering experience in a manufacturing company, preferably including machine or electrical design knowledge.
Experience with standard and engineered to order products that serve the power and process industries.
Strong leadership skills; Prior experience leading teams preferred
A two-year technical degree and applicable experience with design and application of products.
Innovative and collaborative initiative with a positive attitude and ownership mentality
