We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee a large team of talented software engineers, responsible for maintaining a healthy operational cadence and strategic resource allocation across 2-3 development teams (15-20 total reports). Reporting directly to the SVP of Engineering, you will focus primarily on team health, delivery oversight, cross-team project management, and management fundamentals, ensuring high-quality, scalable ad-tech solutions. In this role you will collaborate with the Engineering leadership, Technical Project Managers, and Product Managers to oversee the successful implementation of new large scale features of the UI.Marketing application set. You will coordinate with these stakeholders to help appropriately staff, manage, and collaborate across the engineering department to achieve those goals.

  • People Management & Team Oversight: Directly manage a large team of 15-20 software developers and technical leads, prioritizing consistent 1-on-1 check-ins, operational support, and performance oversight.
  • Performance & Review Cycle: Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings, facilitate 360-degree feedback, and lead the annual performance review process. This includes clearly defining performance goals and managing accountability within the team structure.
  • Team Health & Resource Balancing: Proactively monitor and assess the combined workload, inter-team dependencies, and capacity of the entire group. You will be responsible for recommending staffing changes and reallocating resources to ensure efficient and sustainable delivery across all teams.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience managing software development teams, including experience managing groups larger than 10 employees.
  • Engineering Metrics: Experience in managing teams leveraging DORA metrics to measure the efficacy of changes to processes.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong background in modern software architectures, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and proficiency in our core technologies: TypeScript and Java. The ability to effectively discuss and understand the team's technical challenges is essential.
  • Ad-Tech Domain: Proven experience or deep familiarity with the Ad-Tech industry, digital advertising platforms, or high-volume data processing systems.
