About The Position
Tines is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a software engineering team responsible for developing and scaling the core execution engine that powers our platform. Founded in 2018 in Dublin, Tines is a smart, secure workflow platform designed to automate any manual task, regardless of complexity. By automating workflows, Tines empowers frontline teams to reduce monotonous, manual work and free up valuable time and resources. As we expand horizontally to IT, Product, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams, we are looking for a leader who embodies our values of Simplicity, Speed, and Soundness. This role is crucial in ensuring that Tines remains a great place for engineers to thrive. In this position, you will manage a team of 4-6 engineers, providing support for their growth and development through regular feedback, coaching, and mentorship. You will collaborate with colleagues across departments to plan and prioritize projects, breaking them down into manageable tasks and milestones. Effective communication is key, and you will facilitate discussions between your team and other departments to ensure alignment and clarity. While you will contribute to technical discussions, it is essential to maintain the autonomy of your engineers, allowing them to take ownership of their work. Your responsibilities will also include attracting and recruiting talented engineers to join our team, fostering a culture of inclusion, ambition, and collaboration. You will maintain technical familiarity by engaging in smaller, lower-priority engineering tasks, ensuring you stay connected with the team's work.
