The position involves collaboration with various departments including Project Management, Sales, and Accounting to outline product scope and estimate new projects. The individual will serve as the organizational leader for overseeing innovative Holland product designs and will provide leadership for technical problem solving. Responsibilities include managing and updating WTG Engineering KPIs, maintaining project cost to complete exercises, assisting with project estimating, and managing the engineering resource capacity plan and schedule. The role also requires meeting project estimate cost targets, supporting the Holland quality system, and developing the skills of the engineering team through mentoring and formal development plans. The position involves working closely with customers, suppliers, and other employees during all project phases, and may require periodic domestic and international travel for field site visits and vendor assessments. The individual will work with vendors to improve product quality and reduce costs, utilize Lean tools for product and process improvements, and prepare and implement department strategic plans and annual operating budgets. Additionally, the role includes generating and maintaining department performance metrics and supporting Manufacturing Engineering-led process improvements.
