About the position
The Engineering Manager will oversee and direct engineering activities and projects at the Hudson, NH facility, focusing on injection molding operations. This role requires a strong background in plastics engineering and project management, with an emphasis on optimizing processes and ensuring quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Direct activities of the Engineering Team
- Utilize best practice engineering methods and provide expert technical guidance
- Optimize processes and employee education initiatives
- Manage installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment
- Direct, evaluate, and confirm product design and changes
- Set scientific and technical goals of the organization
- Develop and implement opportunities to improve equipment, material, process, tooling, and automation
- Identify and implement methods to reduce costs and increase quality
- Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes conform to established policies and objectives
Requirements
- B.S. in Plastics Engineering
- 5+ years of hands-on injection molding experience
- Direct experience in managing injection molding
- Experience with programming CMMs and vision systems
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use measuring instruments
- Familiar with APQP and PPAP requirements
- Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and team-building skills
