Zynga is looking for an Engineering Manager in Austin, and more specifically, someone whose experience can allow them to both manage engineers as a lead, as well as execute on coding tasks. We have a well-rounded, and tight-knit, distributed team with a healthy mix of engineering skill levels, and are looking to strengthen our team in tackling the challenges of running and extending a Live game. The optimal candidate should have equivalent or better experience as a Senior Software Engineer, and should have at least two years of experience as an Engineering Manager. Ideally, the candidate will also have at least five years of experience working on teams in the game industry. To be successful in this role you will have a passion for games, outstanding process skills, awesome people skills, a high level of integrity, great technical depth, and a strong desire to build successful engineering teams. You would have an opportunity to lead a pod of engineers on the team, while also contributing to user-facing features (including UI / UX) and game engine systems, plus help solve challenging problems for high profile titles.
