  • Drive helpful processes that ensure your engineers can build software as efficiently as possible while maintaining a high bar for product quality.
  • Help set technical quality standards for our codebase and ensure the team is making proper debt investments while making progress on product roadmaps.
  • Help expand, uplevel, and promote your engineers in an equitable fashion, ensuring every individual has the same opportunity for success.
  • Help build an engineering culture of shared success and shared failure, driving inclusion, equity, and continuous learning.
  • Help your team work through tricky technical challenges, mentor them, and up level their problem-solving skills.
  • Work closely with sales/success, engineering managers, leadership, and senior/staff engineers to ensure your team’s work supports company-wide goals and delivers impact across Bubble.
  • 5+ years of backend experience.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Depth in systems engineering or infrastructure, e.g., reliability engineering, cloud platforms (AWS/Terraform), distributed data architecture, or backend scaling.
  • Experience leading teams through complex technical projects and understanding how to balance speed, quality, and tech debt.
  • Strong skills in coaching, feedback, and career development.
  • Ability to value inclusive collaboration and partner well with other managers, product leads, and senior engineers.
  • Pragmatic, accountable, and energized by challenges that span the entire stack.
