The Community You Will Join: Messaging is in the center of fostering connections among Airbnb guests and hosts across the world. The messaging platform team’s mission is to build reliable, performant and scalable systems to power Airbnb’s second most used surface - messaging. As an integral part of the Airbnb community, we work with a diverse set of partner teams to develop platform solutions to enable essential use cases in booking, customer support, and cohosting, etc. The Difference You Will Make: As an Engineering Manager, you’ll be leading a team of very senior, highly motivated, high achieving engineers. You will work closely with product managers, designers and other engineering leaders to plan and deliver a wide range of new and improved features and capabilities powering Airbnb messaging. You’ll be finding opportunities to shape ambitious technical and product visions and turn them into a polished reality.
