We take pride in our unique highly collaborative style of development and are responsible for Demand Visibility and highly optimized supply chain execution across Alphabet. As a part of efficient and optimal supply chain operations we are building a demand tracking platform that enables our customer to always stay on top of their order health and provides execution teams a standard conduit to expose risks and exceptions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

  • Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals.
  • Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Develop the mid-term technical goal and roadmap within the scope of your (often multiple) teams.
  • Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
  • Define the team goal/mission and strategy, ensures they are aligned with the broader organization.
  • Ensure accountability for meeting their team’s commitments (e.g., OKRs, Bug SLOs, Annual/H Planning, etc.).
  • Enable decision making and escalation when needed.
