About The Position

Fetch is scaling the systems that power tens of millions of users and hundreds of millions of transactions every month. We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead teams responsible for building Fetch’s next-generation offers and rewards platform. The Offers team builds the systems that transform user actions, such as engaging with partner content, completing surveys, or exercising, into point-earning opportunities. This platform sits at the core of Fetch’s engagement and monetization strategy and requires reliable, scalable infrastructure to support high-volume traffic, experimentation, and rapid iteration. As an Engineering Manager on the Offers team, you will lead engineers building and evolving backend services that support offer creation, targeting, fulfillment, and measurement. You will partner closely with Product, Data, and Platform teams to deliver new capabilities while ensuring the long-term scalability, reliability, and operational health of the platform. This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US offices or remotely in the United States.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing software engineers
  • Strong technical background in backend systems, distributed systems, or data-intensive applications
  • Experience delivering customer-facing products at scale
  • Ability to evaluate system design, architecture, and technical tradeoffs
  • Proven track record of leading teams to ship complex projects
  • Experience partnering with product and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Commitment to engineering best practices including testing, observability, and incident management
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to support engineering productivity, code quality, and team efficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on offers, personalization, growth, marketplace, or monetization systems
  • Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and analytics pipelines
  • Experience supporting high-throughput, low-latency services
  • Prior experience scaling teams or systems through periods of rapid growth
  • Strong programming background in Go, Java, or similar backend languages
  • Experience working with event-driven architectures and distributed data systems
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear explanations for non-technical partners

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers across multiple experience levels
  • Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and support career growth and performance management
  • Partner with senior engineers to guide system design, architecture, and technical decision-making
  • Own delivery for the Offers roadmap, ensuring predictable execution and high-quality outcomes
  • Translate product and business goals into clear technical plans and milestones
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management to shape roadmaps, scope initiatives, and define success metrics
  • Partner with Data, Analytics, and ML teams on targeting, experimentation, and measurement
  • Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, observable, and resilient under high traffic and transaction volume
  • Balance delivery velocity with long-term technical health and operational excellence
  • Improve team processes, reduce operational overhead, and drive continuous improvement
  • Communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders and leadership
  • Foster a culture of ownership, quality, and accountability
  • Support engineers in using AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code to improve development velocity, documentation, and code quality
