About The Position

The position involves contributing to the development of financial and technological goals through the Annual Operating Planning and Structured Requirements Analysis Planning processes. The role requires identifying and developing process innovations to support the site's vision and long-term direction. The individual will design and execute plans while leveraging the latest approaches to achieve organizational short, mid, and long-term goals, regularly reviewing performance and initiating corrective actions as needed. The position also involves applying technical expertise to develop existing and introduce new processes, researching new technologies and technological trends to improve process and commercial performance, and ensuring that manufacturing capabilities, product and material application, and tool design standards are considered during the implementation process. Additionally, the role includes coordinating and monitoring the fulfillment of all legal and internal requirements regarding Health, Safety, and Environment. The individual will lead by example in line with the Freudenberg Guiding Principles and the Code of Conduct, while developing employees, driving Talent Acquisition and Management processes, and fostering a proactive work culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in engineering roles within the metals manufacturing industry
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory position
  • Strong understanding of metallurgical processes, materials science, and manufacturing techniques
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and procedures
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards
  • Communication & Collaboration: Communicates clearly and concisely, while serving as a sparring partner to internal/external stakeholders. Fosters teamwork between employees and across the organization
