About The Position

Paragon is building the infrastructure layer that powers integrations for modern SaaS companies. We help teams ship and operate integrations faster - so product teams can focus on their core product instead of integration complexity. Our customers range from fast-growing startups to large enterprises, and our platform runs mission-critical integrations in production.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of engineering management experience, with a strong track record leading engineers and teams.
  • Proven ability to deliver customer-facing product work with predictable execution, high quality, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong judgment and communication: you can align teams, set expectations with stakeholders, and write clearly.
  • Comfortable operating within an established process - and improving it pragmatically where it increases clarity, speed, and quality.
  • Enough technical depth to guide planning, tradeoffs, and execution (even if you’re not coding day-to-day).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience owning customer-facing surfaces (product UI/UX) and/or building SDKs, connector libraries, or API-first products.
  • Background in integrations, developer tooling, or B2B SaaS product engineering.
  • Experience scaling process across multiple squads (consistent rituals, shared quality bars, crisp ownership boundaries).
  • Familiarity with our ecosystem (e.g., TypeScript/Node, modern web UI, APIs/integrations), or the ability to ramp quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead 2 - 3 product engineering teams (typically 2 - 4 engineers per team) across customer-facing areas like UI/UX, an Integrations SDK / connector library, and Managed Sync.
  • Run the team operating cadence: sprint planning, retros, backlog grooming, and ensure the teams have clear priorities, crisp scope, and strong follow-through.
  • Own people leadership end-to-end: hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and growth plans (including regular 1:1s).
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, other Engineering Managers, and the CTO to translate the roadmap into executable plans and to manage tradeoffs, sequencing, and stakeholder communication.
  • Improve developer velocity by unblocking teams, collecting feedback, and ensuring issues get surfaced and driven to resolution (process, coordination, tooling, or resourcing).
  • Participate in an on-call escalation rotation (you won’t be primary on-call), helping coordinate response, communication, and learning when issues impact customers.
