You will join a team developing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 6+ years of experience in a hands-on hardware engineering role, with a strong focus on complex electromechanical systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in a direct leadership or management role, with a proven track record of managing and mentoring technical teams.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in the design and manufacturing of wiring and cable harnesses.
  • Proven experience in developing and operating Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testbeds.
  • Direct experience with configuration management and BoM ownership for a complex hardware product.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with humanoid robotics or similar complex robotic systems is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians specializing in the integration, test, and verification of complex robotic systems.
  • Own all aspects of Wiring and Harness Design and Integration, ensuring the creation of robust, manufacturable, and reliable power and data distribution systems.
  • Own Configuration Management, including all aspects of revision control, and the creation and maintenance of accurate top level System Bills of Materials (BoM) for the robot and all auxiliary equipment.
  • Direct prototypes Hardware Integration and Bring-Up, guiding the team through the physical assembly, initial power-on, and functional testing of all new hardware designs.
  • Develop and release Kinematic and Dynamic Calibration schemes to ensure the robot's physical model is precisely aligned with its software and control systems.
  • Drive Design Verification by creating and executing comprehensive test plans at both the component and assembly levels to ensure all hardware meets design specifications.
  • Lead HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Testbed Development, building and maintaining sophisticated test environments for rapid, safe, and repeatable verification of new hardware and software, fully integrated into our CI/CD pipeline.
