The Financial Crimes Engineering team builds and maintains the systems that support Robinhood’s compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions regulations. The team builds and operates multiple detection platforms and the supporting tooling experience for all verticals within Financial Crimes—helping prevent misuse of the financial system. We partner closely with Financial Crimes Operations and product engineering teams to design reliable, scalable systems that protect our customers and the broader ecosystem. Our work is central to maintaining trust, meeting regulatory requirements, and strengthening the integrity of our platform. As an Engineering Manager, FinCrimes, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for building next-generation detection systems along with internal tools and platforms that support best-in-class investigation experience. You will own the end-to-end delivery of our detection platforms, supporting multiple products across jurisdictions. You will also drive detection strategy, case management enablement, and the tooling and operational workflows required to onboard new use cases and support upcoming product launches. This role combines hands-on technical depth with people leadership, and it offers the opportunity to shape how AI and large language models are applied to improve investigation workflows and system performance! This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected at least 4 days per week.
