J ob Description: Position Summary DTN is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary software engineering team within our Energy organization. This role is responsible for driving technical excellence, delivery execution, and team development for mission-critical products built on .NET, legacy Delphi, and AWS-native services. The Engineering Manager partners closely with Product, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable systems that support DTN’s customers and business objectives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of engineering leadership or technical team lead experience and 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in .NET (C#) enterprise application development and supporting or modernizing legacy Delphi systems.
  • Experience building and operating cloud-native systems on AWS, including services such as Lambda, RDS, and S3.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and modern DevOps practices.
  • Proven success leading teams delivering distributed, event-driven, mission-critical systems.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and cloud-native architecture.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across product, engineering, and operations teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Energy, Fuels, Logistics, or data-driven platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for systems built with .NET (C#), legacy Delphi, and AWS-native services.
  • Lead modernization efforts, including migration of legacy workloads to AWS serverless and managed cloud services.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Product Management to align on priorities, roadmaps, and delivery objectives.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of features and platform capabilities, including Agile ceremonies, sprint execution, and production readiness.
  • Ensure systems meet DTN standards for security, reliability, scalability, observability, and operational excellence.
  • Champion operational best practices, including monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
