About The Position

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in engineering management
  • Experience building or managing card products or financial services platforms at scale
  • Strong understanding of engineering best practices, high-quality code, and software development processes
  • Demonstrated ability to balance long-term strategy with short-term execution
  • Experience with distributed systems, multi-tenant architectures, and operational excellence
  • Hands-on technical capability for coding, reviews, or troubleshooting as needed
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, fostering high-performing teams
  • Passion for building open financial systems and delivering exceptional consumer experiences

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and mentor full-stack engineering teams across web and mobile platforms
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and senior leadership to define a quarterly roadmap and deliver high-impact features
  • Drive technical excellence through architectural guidance, code quality standards, and engineering best practices
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the card product, including development, deployment, and operational support
  • Contribute to recruitment and talent development, identifying and attracting top engineering talent
  • Participate hands-on in code, technical documentation, incident management, and troubleshooting as needed
  • Ensure scalable, reliable, and secure systems in distributed, multi-tenant environments
