Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Engineering Manager for the Busway Product Line. This critical role is essential for the Commercial Products & Assemblies Division and focuses on leading design engineering operations for new product introduction programs. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for assessing, developing, and maintaining engineering capabilities to support best-in-class new product development, cost reduction through design (Value Analysis/Value Engineering - VAVE), and sustaining engineering. This position is accountable for defining and systematically maintaining engineering best practices and technologies, as well as introducing emerging technologies to meet New Product Revenue and Vitality targets, and cost savings targets via redesign. Additionally, the role involves supporting the maintenance of existing products, including material substitutions, design quality improvements, and compliance with codes and standards changes. The Engineering Manager will lead a diverse team of over 20 professionals, including Engineering Managers, Supervisors, NPI Design Engineers, VAVE Engineers, and Laboratory Technicians across the United States, India, and Mexico. This position requires collaboration with the CPA division and Busway product line leadership to identify and develop robust solutions that meet market demands. As a key member of both the Commercial Product & Assemblies Division engineering leadership team and the Eaton Hodges manufacturing site leadership team, the Engineering Manager will represent Busway product engineering and foster a strong engineering culture that maintains product integrity while adapting to market needs. In addition to technical leadership, the Engineering Manager will promote professional growth through performance feedback, coaching, and mentoring, while establishing a positive safety culture that complies with government regulations and Eaton MESH requirements. The role also includes managing engineering expense and capital budgets, providing technical support to sales and engineering services, and maintaining active membership in standards groups to drive favorable codes and standards for the product line. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for developing market and competitive analysis information, coordinating NPI projects, and effectively communicating plans and risks to stakeholders.
