About The Position

As an Engineering Lead, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and scaling the company’s core platform. This role combines deep technical ownership with leadership responsibilities and offers the opportunity to work closely with company leadership on high-impact product and engineering decisions. You will:
Spend the majority of your time writing production code and contributing directly to the platform
Design and implement scalable backend systems and full-stack features from concept through production
Lead the development of core platform capabilities and potentially help launch new products from the ground up
Partner closely with the CTO, product leaders, and engineering teammates to shape product direction and architecture
Build reliable, high-performance systems that support rapid product iteration and growth
Take ownership of major technical initiatives, ensuring high standards for code quality, scalability, and maintainability
Mentor engineers and help establish engineering best practices as the team grows
Collaborate with a high-performing, low-ego team focused on solving complex technical challenges

Requirements

• Have 5–15 years of experience as a software engineer with strong backend or full-stack expertise
• Have worked at a high-growth B2B SaaS, fintech, or venture-backed startup
• Have taken products or platforms from early concept (0→1) to production scale
• Are comfortable owning systems end-to-end, including architecture, development, and operational reliability
• Have strong experience with modern backend technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and relational databases
• Enjoy working closely with product teams and influencing product direction through technical insight
• Are passionate about building high-quality systems and solving complex engineering problems
• Thrive in fast-paced startup environments where engineers have high ownership and impact

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with AI/ML-enabled products or building systems that integrate machine learning capabilities
• Background in fintech, financial services software, or accounting technology
• Experience building scalable cloud-native applications on platforms such as GCP, AWS, or similar environments
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and building lightweight product interfaces
• Computer Science degree or equivalent technical background
