This is a contingent position based upon contract award KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Engineering Lead to join our team. You will support critical operational missions by overseeing the performance, sustainment, and readiness of mission and facility systems that enable spacecraft launch, on orbit operations, and ground segment activities. This role ensures uninterrupted operational capability and drives technical rigor across a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other relevant technical field or Master’s Degree plus 11 years of relevant space domain awareness / operations experience with demonstrated expertise or Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise or No Degree with 14 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly required to be considered
  • 7 years’ experience in orbital mechanics, including collision avoidance and satellite operations analysis
  • 3 years of experience in systems engineering processes, including vulnerability analysis and/or orbit analysis
  • 5 years IC experience
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Be able to perform contract tasks independently and lead teams
  • Relevant project management experience
  • Relevant experience using tools listed in GFP listing

Responsibilities

  • Applies broad knowledge of systems engineering, orbital mechanics and satellite operations to design and advance solutions to current flight safety challenges.
  • Focuses on quality and currency of the techniques, procedures, and tools available to flight safety and mission protection engineering analysis personnel to perform their jobs effectively
