Work Location 7900 National Service Rd., Greensboro, NC 27409 Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support for FEATURES, VERIFICATION & VALIDATION (FVV) of product development. The engineering technician will work in the instrumentation lab and support internal engineers to achieve project milestones. The core focus of the department is to support validation activities for complete vehicles for the company. Accountabilities/Responsibilities Engineering technician in the instrumentation lab will perform following day to day activities: Check-in / check-out all equipment stored in the instrumentation lab Super user of internal asset management database system (IndySoft) Continuously tracking of equipment inventory Troubleshoot and verify equipment with reported issues Follow instrumentation procedures to support engineers and projects with equipment on time (Based on GHOST Request) Prioritize & understand calibration activities based on upcoming workload Interface with calibration and equipment vendors Manage storage location and labelling of test equipment Must be proficient working with computers and skilled in Microsoft Office suite Establishes and maintain well-defined relationship with engineering staff and other stakeholders Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously The candidate must have a basic electrical knowledge including the items below Ability to perform soldering and knowledge of operating tools and equipment needed to perform required work Ability to read and update wiring diagrams Ability to repair wiring harnesses following documented schematics and data sheets Assemble connectors with including component per company standards Verify the functionality of instrumentation by following documented procedures Support internal 5S procedures to maintain a clean work environment Details: Associate degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or similar field 2-5 years of relevant experience Positive mind-set, great work ethic and a can-do attitude is required Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills Inventory management experience and/or skills is preferred Computer skills including use and application of Microsoft Office is necessary Ability to function well in teams is required Previous experience with data loggers and measurement sensors is a plus Listed salary ranges may vary based on experience, qualifications, and local market. Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or similar field
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Positive mind-set, great work ethic and a can-do attitude is required
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills including use and application of Microsoft Office is necessary
  • Ability to function well in teams is required

Nice To Haves

  • Inventory management experience and/or skills is preferred
  • Previous experience with data loggers and measurement sensors is a plus
