About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on General Engineering Intern to support engineering activities across mechanical and electrical disciplines. This internship offers practical, real-world experience working with cross-functional teams on product design, testing, troubleshooting, and process improvements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Basic understanding of mechanical principles (materials, tolerances, assemblies).
  • Basic understanding of electrical concepts (voltage, current, wiring, schematics).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics (preferred).
  • Familiarity with any CAD software is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics (preferred).
  • Familiarity with any CAD software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with mechanical and electrical design tasks for new and existing exterior lighting products.
  • Support product development, validation, including mechanical fit, function, and basic electrical testing.
  • Help troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in manufacturing and product performance.
  • Assist with creating and updating engineering documentation, drawings, and specifications.
  • Participate in design reviews and engineering change processes.
  • Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support production needs.
  • Assist with prototype builds, evaluations, and failure analysis.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
